The Before:

We’re home owners! Closing was a breeze, and as soon as we got the keys we stopped by the apartment so we could load the car with valuables we didn’t want to worry about on Moving Day like: my precious plants, an alabaster statue my parents handed down to me from when they lived in Barcelona, my new cocoon light, and some other breakables. Also, we grabbed our dining room table, the new rug, and our most valuable possession: Olive.

Olive went bat-shit crazy when we got there. I swear to you–she skipped through the grass in the backyard, and she was all THANK YOU FOR BUYING ME THIS BIG BACKYARD.

So, without further ado, here are the before pictures of our new home. This is exactly how they left the house for us so please use your imagination and overlook the awful lovely curtains, the repulsive festive ivy on the cabinets, and all of the other crap they left behind randomness scattered throughout.

  1. Your house has beautiful bones. The lofted living room, ceilings, giant closet, and wonderful floors are great things to have to work with. Can’t wait to see what you do to it! Hope you do tutorials too for the DIY stuff.
